What Are We Doing?!?
The deeper I get into graduate school, the more I realize how much I don’t belong. I don’t care about doing academic research (in fact it sounds horrendous). I don’t write in that stuffy, fairly boujie way that seems to be the preferred style of teachers, students, and researchers. Hell, half of the time I don’t really understand what I’m reading. I get so lost in these walls of text that, if I even get through it, I feel like Doyle in Slang Blade when talking about the Bible. How am I going to get through two more years of this?
Now don’t get me wrong, I love education. I am a huge supporter of public education and the value of college (and trade schools for that matter). What I don’t like is academia. It’s so snooty and smug and filled with self-importance…no wonder so many conservatives have such a negative opinion of college and college professors.
On another note, my mental health stinks but I’m finally going to see a therapist, so maybe there’s hope for me yet.
What the Actual F*ck?!?
Conservative governors are sending migrants to “liberal” cities and states?!? Or in one case, to the Vice Presidents’ house? Are we really doing this? As a nation, is this actually happening? Apparently, it is and history is repeating itself.

Do people really support this policy? Have we truly lost all of our collective empathy, compassion, and humanity? These people should be ashamed of themselves.
I think Joseph Welch said it best.

I’m taking a break from the podcast for a few weeks to focus on the aforementioned grad school. Not to worry though because there are nearly 60 episodes in the archives just waiting for you to check out!
